摘要: ABSTRACT Studies comparing placental pathology between human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)–positive and HIV-negative patients have shown conflicting results. In addition, few studies evaluated the infectious etiology of inflammation in HIV-positive patients. We examined a cohort placentas from 73 41 to gain better understanding spectrum inflammatory lesions. Bacterial viral immunohistochemistry (IHC) was run on subset (12 7 HIV-negative) with greatest amount inflammation.
