摘要: Epidemiological studies increasingly indicate that polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) contribute to the risk of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL). In rodent bioassays, PCBs have long been demonstrated be liver carcinogens, and excess tumors in thyroid, lung, other organs observed more recent studies. Leukemias lymphomas now classified as NHL were one bioassay which a concurrent infection was also reported. Clinical epidemiological show immunosuppression inflammation are strong factors for NHL, both epidemiology toxicology immunosuppressive cause inflammation. We reviewed published carcinogenesis bioassays conducted using commercial PCB products, individual congeners, congener mixtures, with focus on protocols immune-related observations.
