摘要: Abstract An adaptive control is proposed for dry surface grinding to extend the use of wheel without needing be dressed, preserving at same time integrity workpiece. The implementation this needs predictive models thermal damage, as in case Malkin's model, which calculates allowable power before workpiece gets burnt any working condition. In latter case, cutting depth condition requires solving a quartic equation. Since analytical procedures quartics given literature are quite cumbersome implement numeric machine, we propose closed analytic formula order compute directly unique positive solution. Moreover, can enhance model consider an arbitrary heat flux profile entering into and kinematical correction geometrical contact length, such way that still using solution
