摘要: In anaplastic large cell lymphoma, the ALK gene at 2p23 is known to be fused NPM, TPM3, TPM4, TFG, ATIC, CLTC, MSN, and ALO17. All of these translocations result in expression chimeric transcripts that are translated into fusion proteins with tyrosine kinase activity oncogenic properties. We report a case showing restricted cytoplasmic staining pattern novel chromosomal abnormality, t(2;22)(p23;q11.2), demonstrated by fluorescence situ hybridization analysis. The 5′ RACE analysis showed was in-frame portion non-muscle myosin heavy chain gene, MYH9. Nucleotide sequence MYH9-ALK cDNA revealed breakpoint different from all those previously reported. It localized same exonic as MSN-ALK, but 6 bp downstream, resulting an two partner proteins. contrast reported proteins, may lack functional oligomerization domain. However, biochemical new protein phosphorylated vivo seems vitro. If further investigations confirm this latter result, phosphorylation could involve mechanisms described other hybrid © 2003 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
