摘要: A key question in any environmental dispute is the nature of what under discussion. 'Cosmopolitics' – political battles over form reality are a feature many clashes. This article focuses on one such clash: during summer 2014, grindadrap iconic practice driving pilot whales for meat was big news item Faroe Islands. More accurately, conservation campaign by controversial group Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (SSCS), Operation Grindstop garnered most attention. Aiming to stop or at least disrupt 'barbaric' and 'sadistic' grindadrap, SSCS were involved several confrontations with Faroese authorities publicly engaged pro-whaling advocates discussions that seemingly fruitless.
