摘要: A detailed structural characterization of three aromatic polyamide (PPT) fibers has been carried out by means direct electron microscope observations and X-ray diffraction analysis. Data obtained the techniques are supplemented high-resolution images recorded from fragmented specimens, which provide both a qualitative assessment quantitative information in terms crystallite perfection distribution size. Dark-field suggest major differences between macrostructures various PPT fibers; indeed some specimens composed long-range axially periodic assemblies, while others appear to be homogeneous. Such organization may well account for variations tensile behavior.
