摘要: Summary We observe fluctuations in human papillomavirus detection and variation genotyping between sequential cervical cell specimens analyzed by filter situ hybridization. Furthermore, specimen adequacy for analysis varies. To determine whether these phenomena are correlated with menstrual cycle stage at the time of sampling, we from women intraepithelial neoplasia. Specimens were categorized on basis a 28-day hybridization to combined probes virus types 6 11 or 16 18. Specimen was determined Alu I repetitive deoxyribonucleic acid probe. Analysis data κ 2 revealed that type unrelated stage. is stage-dependent who take oral contraceptives. Whereas can be collected any other than first week cycle, accurate determination infection status requires multiple assessments. (Am J Obstet Gynecol 1990;162:1037-41.)
