摘要: Lymphatic filariasis is caused by Wuchereria bancrofti, Brugia malayi, and timori. 1,2 The adult worms live in the lymphatic vessels are responsible for primary lesions causing lymph stasis. Lymph stasis predisposes to bacterial infections host inflammatory response. Adult die after some time, but colonization of tissues continues. pathological changes develop further, leading an increase limb volume, hyperkeratosis, fibrosis.
