摘要: Abstract Cryopreservation produces several types of damage in spermatozoa, leading to fertility impairment. The reduction arises both from a lower viability post-thaw and sublethal dysfunctions some the surviving cells. In present study, we have analysed effect cryopreservation 5 ml macrotubes on quality post-thawed gilthead sea bream sperm. Several standard sperm parameters were determined: pH osmolarity seminal plasma, concentration, motility. An exhaustive determination before after was investigated. related with spermatozoal status ATP content, plasma membrane integrity functionality, mitochondrial fertility. Our results demonstrated that spermatozoa suffer freezing/thawing. percentage viable cells slightly decreased cryopreservation, however affected by since could not resist hyperosmotic shock. Mitochondrial there decrease motility, content (3.17 nmol ATP/105 1.7 nmol 1:20 frozen samples) an increase depolarized membranes (11% for fresh 27% samples). Fertility rate similar either using or frozen/thawed (77 75% hatched larvae, respectively).
