Research criteria for the diagnosis of prodromal dementia with Lewy bodies

摘要: The prodromal phase of dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) includes (1) mild cognitive impairment (MCI), (2) delirium-onset, and (3) psychiatric-onset presentations. purpose our review is to determine whether there sufficient information yet available justify development diagnostic criteria for each these. Our goal achieve evidence-based recommendations the recognition DLB at a predementia, symptomatic stage. We propose operationalized probable possible bodies, which are intended use in research settings pending validation clinical practice. They compatible current other neurodegenerative disorders including Alzheimer Parkinson disease. Although still insufficient evidence formal delirium-onset presentations DLB, we feel that it important characterize them, raising index suspicion prioritizing them further investigation.
