摘要: Late endosome and lysosomes form the second major membrane network along endocytic pathway, after early/recycling endosomes, as such, late endosomes function last portal before lysosomes. In mammalian cells, they also link endosomal system to other cellular destinations, including trans-Golgi complex plasma membrane. Finally it has become clear in recent years that operate a sensing signaling organelle informs cell about its nutrient supply situation.
