摘要: Reading and phonological processing deficits have been the primary focus of neuroimaging studies addressing neurologic basis developmental dyslexia, but to date there has no objective assessment consistency these findings. To address this issue, spatial coordinates reported in literature were submitted two parallel activation likelihood estimate (ALE) meta-analyses. First, a meta-analysis including 96 foci from nine publications identified regions where typical readers are likely show greater than dyslexics: left extrastriate areas within BA 37, precuneus, inferior parietal cortex, superior temporal gyrus, thalamus, frontal gyrus. Right hemisphere ALE representing hypoactivity dyslexia found fusiform, postcentral, gyri. identify which dyslexic subjects reliably controls, 75 six papers entered into second meta-analysis. Here results revealed hyperactivity associated with right thalamus anterior insula. These findings suggest that during performance variety reading tasks, normal activate left-sided brain more do, whereas is right-sided activity. The most robust result was found. However, maps provided support for cerebellar dysfunction, nor cortex suggesting findings, unlike those described above, be varied terms their reproducibility or location.
