摘要: PATIENT CONCERNS We report a rare case of pancreatic carcinosarcoma involving 44-year-old woman. The patient complained discomfort associated with the upper abdomen and jaundice skin sclera for 1 week. DIAGNOSES After hospitalization, relevant examinations were completed. disease was diagnosed as carcinoma head. INTERVENTIONS Whipple procedure conducted in May 2013. Intraoperative exploration indicated 2 components tumor: fish-shaped gray matter hard structure similar to cancellous bone. Histopathological examination showed adenocarcinoma osteosarcoma. surgery, received 8 cycles chemotherapy gemcitabine raltitrexed. OUTCOMES Previous studies poor prognosis carcinosarcoma. However, our survived 31 months no recurrence till date. LESSONS SUBSECTIONS Coexistence osteosarcoma is very rare. Our also an exception manifesting longer survival than expected.
