摘要: Carcinosarcoma of the pancreas is extremely rare and its histogenesis still unclear. This a report on 64-year-old female patient with an intraductal carcinosarcoma arising from papillary-mucinous carcinoma (IPMC) in tail. The grew as polypoid mass within main pancreatic duct. Histologically, tumour consisted adenocarcinoma covering luminal surface lesion minimal stromal invasion, osteosarcoma occupying stroma. Immunohistochemical gene mutation analyses revealed that both carcinomatous sarcomatous cells carcinosarcoma, well IPMC cells, expressed TP53 had identical mutations KRAS genes, indicating these two neoplastic components shared common tumorigenesis arose IPMC. first originating These findings imply heterologous mesenchymal component ductal origin.
