摘要: Abstract The lynx disappeared from Slovenia and Croatia at the beginning of 20th century. In 1973, six Slovakian Carpathian Mountains were translocated to Kocevje in southern Slovenia. this densely forested region where prey animals are plentiful, a core population developed immediately spread over Croatia. 1984 first reached Julian Alps crossed Italy. increased so fast that already 1978, hunting was legalised. From 1978 present, total 229 individuals hunted, another 48 deaths other reasons also known. intense harvest hindered further expansion population, especially re-colonisation Alps. recent years season quota reduced, is now restricted area population.
