摘要: Equine sarcoids are locally aggressive fibroblastic neoplasms considered to be the most common skin tumors of horses worldwide. Bovine papillomavirus types 1 and 2 have typically been associated with in equids. Investigations aiming identify strains, aside from bovine papillomaviruses 2, which might sarcoid lesions, lacking. The aim this article is report identification a third type, 13, equine sarcoids. Six lesions were collected diverse anatomical sites on two southern Brazil. To detect broad spectrum eight degenerate primer pairs designed conserved regions L1 E1 genes tested DNA samples. Direct sequencing was then performed obtained amplicons, sequence identities compared sequences all types. FAP59/FAP64, MY09/MY11, AR-E1F2/AR-E1R4 generated shown present 99 100% identity new type previously described cattle. results study suggest that there need 13 other strains geographical areas; such investigations establish frequency occurrence viral these
