Coupled perpendicular magnetization in Fe/Cu/Fe trilayers

摘要: Abstract Ultrathin epitaxial Fe films on Cu(1 0 0) with perpendicular magnetization have been used as templates for the preparation of FCC Fe/Cu/Fe trilayers. The magnetic anisotropy and coupling these studied by in-situ magneto optical Kerr effect measurements microscopy. both layers is found to be dominated magnetostatic interaction. Adsorbate-induced spin reorientation in top layer also causes bottom layer. governing role Fe-vacuum interface magnetism whole trilayer demonstrated.
