On the cation distribution in Ni1−xCuxFe2−yAlyO4 spinels

摘要: Two spinel solid solution series, Ni1−xCuxFe2−yAlyO4 with y=0.6 and 1.0, where 0.0⩽x⩽1.0 have been investigated by x-ray diffractometry Mossbauer spectroscopy. Lattice, hyperfine parameters, cation distribution among the two distinct crystallographic sites as a function of Cu2+ Al3+ substitution are determined. effect (ME) spectra at 293 K for compositions consist one sextet A sites, three sextets B due to different fields Fe nuclei. On other hand, ME compounds y=1.0 in ferrimagnetic state (293 77 K) show only Fe3+ site giving clear evidence completely inverse Ni, Cu, Al ions occupying sites. parameters deduced analyzed all studied compounds, observed explained on basis superexchange supertransferred interactions.
