摘要: Formation of cerebral oedema caused by vascular leakage is a major problem in various injuries the CNS, such as stroke, head injury and high‐altitude illness. A common feature all these disorders fact that they are associated with tissue hypoxia. Hypoxia has therefore been suggested to be an important pathogenic factor for induction brain. Vascular endothelial growth (VEGF) known inducer angiogenesis. Originally, however, it was described permeability factor. As VEGF gene expression shown upregulated hypoxia, increased may link hypoxia CNS vivo . To delineate role brain, we studied effect on brains mice Hypoxic exposure led significant increase levels mRNA protein mouse brain correlated severity hypoxic stimulus. Measurement using fluorescent marker sodium fluorescein revealed two‐fold fluorescence intensity brains, indicative leakage. Inhibition activity neutralizing antibody completely blocked hypoxia‐induced permeability. In conclusion, our data show responsible augmentation following Our findings might provide basis new therapeutic concepts treatment oedema.
