Characterization of patients treated by rehabilitation service after establishing of an acute stroke unit in a Brazilian hospital

摘要: [Purpose] The study aimed to characterize patients treated by rehabilitation section after establishment of an acute stroke unit. [Subjects and Methods] Medical consultation records individuals with ischemic were studied retrospectively, excluding hemorrhagic stroke, thrombolysis, previous Modified Rankin Scale ≥ 1, prior structural bone deformities, associated neurological disease, cognitive deficit. data evaluated age, gender, etiology, localization, treatment received, ictus onset, hospitalization time, discharge date, date first evaluation at the center. in 90 days was utilized measure functional incapacity divided into two groups, before unit implementation (2010). Functional compared between Mann-Whitney test, χ(2) test Fisher's exact test. [Results] medical 170 evaluated. In group 2010, significantly older presented a shorter time discharge, until rehabilitation, increased percentage mild (Modified = 0 2). [Conclusion] After implementation, delay less incapacity.
