Mitigating flood consequences: analysis of private flood insurance in Slovakia

摘要: The aim of this paper is to obtain more detailed information about flood insurance in municipalities Slovakia situated headwater basins. Analysis data from the period 2002–2011 showed a dramatic decrease insurance. We found that declining social status municipality's inhabitants accompanied by policies. Further analysis revealed an increase number policies, events and claims, with increasing frequency occurrence third-level emergencies municipalities.
