Mitigating flood consequences: analysis of private flood insurance in Slovakia

摘要: The aim of this paper is to obtain more detailed information about flood insurance in municipalities Slovakia situated headwater basins. Analysis data from the period 2002–2011 showed a dramatic decrease insurance. We found that declining social status municipality's inhabitants accompanied by policies. Further analysis revealed an increase number policies, events and claims, with increasing frequency occurrence third-level emergencies municipalities. However, influence was not substantiated when it came hazard potential given On other hand, comparatively high no have been announced indicates relatively significant part caused types flooding than river flooding.
