摘要: Biofilm formation on implanted medical devices is becoming more recognized as both a common finding and potential problem. Although seen frequently in nature, these sequestered bacterial communities are proving to be an assiduous enemy device technologies advance. The penile prosthesis has gone through many improvements, now with reliable mechanical function reduced infection rate. However, there remains notable increase infectious risk revisions compared novel cases, implants found harbor subclinical presence isolated biofilms. This article focuses recent updates implant technology surgical technique combat infection, reviews current research biofilm prevention treatment.
