摘要: Despite the substantial burden of gastric cancer worldwide, population strategies for primary prevention have not been introduced in any country. Recognizing causal role Helicobacter pylori infection, there is increasing interest population-based programs to eradicate infection prevent cancer. Nonetheless, paucity available evidence on feasibility and effectiveness has prevented implementation this approach. There are very few secondary based screening with endoscopy or radiography, notably Republic Korea Japan, two countries highest incidence rates In Korea, where organized program place, survival rate as high 67%. More research needed quantify specific contribution observed declines mortality rates. Gastric unlikely be feasible many Low-Middle Income Countries high. Prevention still under development optimal approach may differ depending local conditions societal values. The present review gives an overview etiology disease, possible regions confronted a significant disease.
