摘要: Introduction Immediate weight-bearing following osteosynthesis of proximal tibial fractures is traditionally not allowed due to fear articular fracture collapse. Anatomically shaped locking plates with sub-articular screws could improve stability and allow greater loading forces. The purpose this study was investigate if immediate can be plate fractures. Material methods Locking partial (Arbeitsgemeinschaft fur Osteosynthesefragen type 41B) operated from November 2007 September 2009 at Hvidovre Hospital were included retrospectively (n = 32). Complications, reoperations radiographic outcome 6-8 week follow-up assessed. Twenty patients bear weight the first weeks, whereas twelve postoperative weight-bearing. Results use bone allograft, number inserted application mobilizing brace comparable between two groups (p 0.08). Persisting depressions surface ranged 0 5 mm postoperatively no difference 0.36). At weeks postoperatively, changes in configuration site observed either group. Conclusion This retrospective suggests that may allowed. Future, larger prospective randomised studies are needed.
