摘要: Abstract Nanocrystalline Pd has been synthesized by the inert gas condensation technique, consolidated into pellets, and characterized x-ray diffraction scanning electron microscopy. The hydrogen absorption/desorption properties of these materials were investigated to demonstrate their application solid state sensor development. These nanocrystalline exhibited fast response complete recovery up exposure several percent hydrogen. Suppression α-βphase transition also was observed. temperature dependence response/recovery rates indicate that rate controlling step for absorption is dissociative chemisorption on surface Pd, whereas desorption, diffusion out palladium metal controlling.
