摘要: Our goal was to evaluate a multi-pinhole (MPH) collimator which allows changing configurations for mouse imaging and rat imaging. The length can be adjusted from 5 cm maximum of 8 cm Projections mouse- rat-size phantoms were simulated with 8 cm, the phantom additionally 5 cm. Bias noise assessed in reconstructed images. Three physical used axial sampling resolutions one-, four-, five-pinhole single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT). Images three different-sized rodents also acquired. Simulations showed that imaging, shorter provided an improved bias-noise trade-off compared longer length. Axial distortions significantly reduced MPH pinhole smallest rods visible 1 1.6 mm, respectively, their corresponding absolute sensitivities 3.47% 2.02% at center field-of-view 5-pinhole count ratios 1:3.78:4.42, same acquisition time. Good image quality observed real animal studies. This flexible SPECT rodents, achieving high resolution detection efficiency minimal artifacts.
