摘要: Multiple pinholes are advantageous for maximizing the use of available field view (FOV) compact small animal single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) detectors. However, when aligned axially to optimize imaging extended objects, such as rodents, multiplexing pinhole projections can give rise inconsistent data which leads 'ghost point' artefacts in reconstructed volume. A novel four collimator with a baffle was designed and implemented eliminate these projections. Simulation physical phantom studies were performed investigate from efficacy removing and, thus, reducing reconstruction artefacts. SPECT using Defrise impact design on FOV utilization axial blurring effects. acquired had fewer improved quantitative accuracy compared without baffle. The positioned square maximized FOV, increased acquisition sensitivity reduced These findings support projection arising improve reconstructions.
