摘要: We examined neonatal predictors of epilepsy in term newborns with encephalopathy (NE) by studying children enrolled a longitudinal, single center cohort study. Clinical data were obtained through chart review, and MRI was performed the period. administered seizure questionnaire to parents aged ≥12 mo (range, 12 16.5 y) determine outcome epilepsy. The association between clinical time onset assessed using Cox proportional hazards regression. Thirteen 129 developed epilepsy: all had seizures brain injury on MRI. Of seizures, 25% (15.8/1000 person-years) epilepsy, highest hazard ratios (HRs) status epilepticus (HR, 35.8; 95% CI, 6.5–196.5). Children severe or near-total more likely develop compared those only mild moderate 5.5; 1.8–16.8). In multivariable analysis adjusting for degree severe/near-total injury, independently associated These add information regarding pathogenesis further aid clinicians counsel likelihood that newborn NE will
