摘要: Seizures in newborns are associated with a high risk for subsequent epilepsy and adverse neurodevelopmental consequences. Understanding the mechanisms by which neonatal seizures adversely disturb immature brain is important developing therapeutic strategies. Using convulsant agent flurothyl to mimic repetitive we show that early-life result long-term alteration maintenance phase of potentiation (LTP) layer IV II/III synapses somatosensory cortex without basal synaptic transmission, induction LTP short-term depression. Such alterations may have role functional deficits seen following seizures.
