Transfer of Halobacterium saccharovorum, Halobacterium sodomense, Halobacterium trapanicum NRC 34021 and Halobacterium lacusprofundi to the Genus Halorubrum gen. nov., as Halorubrum saccharovorum comb. nov., Halorubrum sodomense comb. nov., Halorubrum trapanicum comb. nov., and Halorubrum lacusprofundi comb. nov.

摘要: Summary Analyses of 16S rRNA gene sequences from Halobacterium saccharovorum NCIMB 2081, Hb. sodomense ATCC 33755, lacusprofundi ACAM 34, and trapanicum NRC 34021 indicate that these four species are phylogenetically distinct salinarium, the only in genus Halobactenum sensu stricto. In addition, comprise a phylogenetic group, all other halobacteria. Accordingly, we propose saccharovorum, sodomense, should be classified new genus, Halorubrum.
