摘要: We previously demonstrated that treatment of HeLa cells with buthionine sulfoximine (BSO), which decreases the level cellular glutathione, resulted in a decrease potency selenite inhibiting cell colony formation. have now examined effect on normal human lung fibroblast (CCL-210) cells, resemble their sensitivity to BSO, and adenocarcinoma (A549) are relatively insensitive BSO. found BSO caused an approximately fourfold CCL-210 but had no significant its A549 cells. These results support hypothesis for exert cytotoxic effect, it must under-go reaction SH compound form selenotrisulfide. As result lower tumor was possible achieve large differential selenite.
