Galanin affects vasopressin and oxytocin release from the hypothalamo-neurohypophysial system in haemorrahaged rats.

摘要: The effect of centrally administered galanin (Gal; 100 pM i.c.v.) on the hypothalamo-neurohypophysial storage as well blood plasma level vasopressin and oxytocin was estimated in haemorrhaged (1 ml per g b.w.) male Wistar rats. Gal i.c.v. treatment did not alter content both hypothalamus neurohypophysis their concentration Haemorrhage decreased hypothalamic neurohypophysial but increased neurohormones animals injected with vehicle solution. During haemorrhage, increase inhibited rats previously treated galanin. significantly subsequently haemorrhaged. These results suggest that may have a regulatory role function especially under condition hypovolemia.
