摘要: The field of cancer prevention is advancing rapidly, largely owing to post-genomic technology that has revolutionized our ability identify and characterize molecular profiles for cancer. Advances in colorectal screening (e.g., endoscopy, fecal occult blood testing, mutational analysis) have made the detection eradication preinvasive neoplastic lesions standard care. Basic translational sciences are building on these advances, continue expose hallmarks carcinogenesis can be exploited as targets molecularly targeted preventive interventions (i.e., chemoprevention). These will help more effective better tolerated agents. Carcinogenesis now recognized a disease itself become target an ever-expanding array interventions.
