摘要: The epitaxial deposition of gold on mica under well-defined and substrate surface conditions was studied in detail. Unconventional electron microscopy methods using newly developed lattice imaging Bragg reflex-imaging techniques were employed for an in-depth analysis orientational relationships. In addition to the expected parallel 30 ° rotated {111} orientations deposit, a strong genuine {211} orientation (as opposed twinned orientation) found first time very early stages hypothetically linked regional heterogeneities actual cleavage structure surface. Multiple twinning occur only later deposition.
