摘要: The study of angiogenesis has grown exponentially over the past 40 years with recognition that is essential for numerous pathologies and, more recently, advent successful drugs to inhibit in tumours. main problem research remains choice appropriate assays evaluate efficacy potential new and identify targets within angiogenic process. This selection made complex by heterogeneity occurs, not only endothelial cells themselves, but also specific microenvironment be studied. Thus, it choose assay conditions cell types most closely resemble disease being especially important when aiming translate data from vitro vivo preclinical clinic. Here we critically review highlight recent advances principle common use including those proliferation, migration, differentiation co-culture fibroblasts mural vitro, vessel outgrowth organ cultures such as chick chorioallantoic membrane (CAM), zebrafish, sponge implantation, corneal, dorsal air sac, chamber tumour models. Finally, briefly discuss direction likely taken future studies, which include increasingly sophisticated imaging analysis systems acquisition.
