摘要: Background: In vitro adulterants are used to invalidate assays for urine drugs of abuse. The present study examined the effect pyridinium chlorochromate (PCC) found in product “Urine Luck”. Methods: PCC was prepared and added positive controls at concentrations 0, 10, 50, 100 g/L. were assayed methamphetamine, benzoylecgonine (BE), codeine morphine, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), phencyclidine (PCP) with Emit II (Syva) Abuscreen Online (Roche) immunoassays, by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS). Two tests also developed detect urine: a spot test chromate ions using 10 g/L 1,5-diphenylcarbazide as indicator, GC/MS assay pyridine. We tested 150 samples submitted routine urinalysis, compliance, workplace drug testing PCC, these assays. Results: Response rates decreased all morphine THC contrast, amphetamine produced apparently higher results, no seen on results BE or PCP. did not affect recovery BE, PCP, their deuterated internal standards, but opiates both intermediate (50 g/L) high (100 apparent THC- d 3 concentrations. 50 under chain-of-custody conditions whereas none remaining specimens urinalysis compliance positive. Conclusions: is an effective adulterant opiates. Identification use can be accomplished oxidant.
