摘要: Abstract BACKGROUND & AIMS: Chronic hepatitis C virus carriers may have repeatedly normal aminotransferase activity despite detectable viremia and histological hepatitis. The aim of this study was to determine the effect interferon in population. METHODS: Three million units alfa administered 3 times weekly for 6 months 10 patients with chronic infection, alanine activity, on liver biopsy. Serum RNA detected by polymerase chain reaction quantified branched DNA before, at end, 1 year after treatment. A biopsy performed treatment withdrawal. RESULTS: At withdrawal, levels had significantly decreased, but still 8 patients. During 1-year follow- up period, 9 elevated least one occasion. One returned pretreatment values no significant improvement observed 7 who underwent CONCLUSIONS: In standard therapy does not lead sustained virological or responses a transient replication.
