摘要: Gastroduodenal ulceration and complications occur more commonly in elderly patients consuming aspirin other nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs than younger cohorts. At conclusion study, videotapes all procedures were randomly evaluated two endoscopists blinded subject identification or study sequence. Endoscopically observed lesions counted duodenum, gastric antrum, body. Aspirin dose-related severe stomach duodenum. There no significant differences total lesion counts between age groups. In addition, median pH tissue 6-ketoprostaglandin F1 alpha content These data suggest not a factor determining extent acutely aspirin-induced damage.
