Expression and influence of Notch signaling in oral squamous cell carcinoma

摘要: Notch signaling dysregulation plays an important role in altering cancer cell behaviors; however, its oral squamous carcinoma (OSCC) remains controversial. This study aimed to investigate the of related genes human OSCC using a meta-analysis Gene Expression Omnibus database (GEO-publicly available gene expression microarray data) and examine behaviors. The included 13 GEO datasets was performed by combining effect sizes random model. results demonstrated that dysregulated participated metabolic process protein binding as determined ontology analysis. Enriched pathway analysis majority were involved categories follow; cancers, small lung cancer, extracellular matrix-receptor interaction, focal adhesion, cycle progression. Interestingly, enriched also samples exhibited upregulation pathway, namely JAG1, JAG2, ADAM17, NCSTN, PSEN1, NCOR2, NUMB, DVL3, HDAC1, HDAC2. Furthermore, inhibition γ-secretase inhibitor significantly decreased proliferation vitro, corresponding with decrease C-FOS mRNA expression. is proliferation. (J Oral Sci 58, 283-294, 2016).
