Energy consumption, effective moisture diffusion and activation energy in drying of thyme leaves (Part II).

摘要: Thin layer drying characteristics of thyme leaves (Anethum sowa L.) under fluidized (air velocity 2.8 m/s), semi 2.1 m/s) and fixed bed 1.2 conditions were studied at various air temperatures (40, 50, 60 70°C). The effective moisture diffusivity occurred during 2 periods in the process. Results show that was 0.243-6.08×10 -10 (m /s) for first period 0.311-12.17 ×10 -11 second period. values activation energy ranged from 62.71 to 99.52 67.96 104.77 (kJ/mol) Also consumption required specific range 5.37 16.90 kW.h 358.03 1126.83 (kW h/kg), respectively.
