摘要: To support ecosystem-based management and achieve the Good Environmental Status (GES) of marine waters it is important to better comprehend relationships between biodiversity environmental disturbance (anthropogenic natural). Biotic indices are widely used in studies help understanding these assess status waters. In recent years, trait-based rapidly emerged as an alternative ‘functional’ approach serve this purpose. study, we analysed how two based upon mean (community-weighted trait value–CWM) diversity multiple traits (Rao’s quadratic entropy–Rao) a macroinvertebrate community respond natural- anthropogenic seafloor (effluents) compared their performance with AMBI M-AMBI. Our results demonstrate that CWM Rao were not effective indicating Basque coast, Bay Biscay. The main reason was probably many did have strong link type disturbance. Besides, mechanistic links certain response environments currently well understood. From perspective: does provide single value quality status, which makes difficult tool use interpret. This index more useful for scientists who want explore understand different aspects functioning. On other hand, expressing do functioning; therefore they could potentially be effectively purposes. However, improve its performance, detailed accurate data required, lacking species.
