摘要: At low temperatures, ionic solids of the rock‐salt structure deform by planar {110} slip and are brittle; at higher temperatures can occur on any plane zone fully ductile behavior is observed. The effect alloying this pattern has been studied for KCl‐KBr system. Pure polycrystalline KCl a 0.6% KBr alloy shown to be above 250°C, but 1.3% polycrystal remains brittle up 350°C.
