摘要: This study uses a metatriangulation approach to explore the relationships between power and information technology impacts, development or deployment, management use in sample of 82 articles from 12 MIS journals published 1980 1999. We multiple paradigms underlying this research by applying two sets lenses examine major findings our sample. The technological imperative, organizational emergent perspectives (Markus Robey 1988) are used as one set better understand researchers' views regarding causal structure IT power. A second lenses, which includes rational, pluralist, interpretive, radical (Bradshaw-Camball Murray 1991), is focus on role different outcomes. apply each lens separately describe patterns emerging previous studies. In addition, we discuss similarities differences that occur when simultaneously applied. draw discussion develop metaconjectures, (i.e., propositions can be interpreted perspectives), suggest guidelines for studying future research.
