摘要: Abstract Clavulanic acid (CA) is a potent beta-lactamase inhibitor produced by Streptomyces clavuligerus. Like other beta-lactam compounds, CA chemically unstable at high temperatures. The decomposition of during bacterial fermentation reduces its concentration in the broth, resulting low yields. This study investigated use temperature reduction to obtain production employing cultures S. Simple batch cultures, and with glycerol pulses, were performed different temperatures shake flasks 250 rpm, pH 6.8. Firstly, three using as carbon source carried out 30 (control), 25, 20 °C. Next, reductions from 25 °C, 20 °C, 25 after exhaustion. generally increased feeding. Maximum 1534.3 mg L−1 was achieved culture maintained constant one pulse glycerol. Under these conditions, both uptake rate degradation low. results obtained demonstrate potential optimization
