摘要: It is generally accepted that immunologically naive T cells display a very restricted cytokine production profile consisting mainly of IL-2, which used as an autocrine growth factor. Here we report activated CD4+ cells, neonatal or adult origin, express high levels soluble lymphotoxin (LT) α (LTα3), determined by ELISA, RNase protection assay, and intracytoplasmic staining. Besides LTα3 these also produce TNF-α together with significant amounts IFN-γ IL-13. Naive LTβ mRNA the membrane form LTα (LTαβ). On average, secrete four times more than Th1-like twice CD8+ ten B cells. Thus, large spectrum cytokines, Th1 type, LTα3/TNF-α they release may play hitherto unsuspected role in early stage cell-dependent immune responses.
