摘要: THE adrenal glucocorticoids have been shown to be involved in the regulation of cyclic AMP activated metabolic processes such as lipolysis1, glycogenolysis2 and gluconeogenesis3. The role these has termed “permissive”4 since it enables maintenance normal responsiveness cells hormones which act through AMP. Glucagon is known activate gluconeogenic pathway mammalian liver at several sites5 including amino acid transport6. We studied hormonal transport rat parenchymal maintained culture report here that synthetic glucocorticoid, dexamethasone, a “permissive” effect on glucagon induction hepatocytes.
