摘要: In general, the master switch gene for sex determination is expressed a limited period during early embryonic stage. To increase our understanding of mechanism in Bombyx mori, it important to understand when takes place. examine key stages this insect, we focused on expression patterns Bmdsx (a double-switch cascade B. mori) and BmIMP specifically males involved male-specific splicing Bmdsx). Reverse transcription PCR (RT-PCR) analysis revealed that male-type was observed females at 27 29 h after oviposition (hao), finally disappeared 32 hao. Moreover, mRNA also these females, its level comparable mRNA. These results demonstrated female embryos before hao can show BmIMP, suggesting occurs between 29 hao, which correspond developmental from head lobe differentiation spoon-shaped embryo stages. This suggests mori represses mode sex-determining genes.
