摘要: The article deals with two issues concerning reflection electron energy loss spectroscopy (REELS), namely, which angular cutoff should be used to properly define the phase space of into plasmon excitations and how approximate evaluations surface component momentum transfer can affect excitation parameter. With regard first point, we demonstrate crucial role dispersion in determining range for inelastic scattering. As second show that an exact evaluation is needed if parameter has determined a reliable way over entire angles crossing. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
