摘要: In order to confirm the reported pathogenicity of human antibodies monosialoganglioside GM1, immunoglobulin fractions with high anti-GM1 IgG or IgM titers were prepared from patients Guillain-Barre syndrome and multifocal motor neuropathy respectively. These injected intraneurally into rat tibial nerves fresh complement. Neither nor fraction induced significant focal conduction block slowing compared a pooled 5 normal individuals. contrast, rabbit experimental allergic neuritis serum included as positive control was highly active. Transverse sections nerve failed show evidence demyelination. Staining for in cryostat showed presence antibody bound nodes Ranvier up 6 days following intraneural transfer. data fail previous reports transfer suggest that such electrophysiological effects may be result factors other than addition antibodies. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
