摘要: Handling and stunning at slaughter plants has greatly improved through the use of numerical scoring. The purpose this paper is to encourage scoring systems assess conditions that compromise welfare occurred either during transport or on farm. Some problems can be assessed are bruises, death losses, injured animals. Welfare issues farm abattoir body condition, lameness, lesions, injuries, animal cleanliness internal pathology. There important cannot slaughter. They on-farm euthanasia methods, analgesics surgeries, type housing systems. evaluations have potential improve welfare.
